The programme recognizes that the participants will need to exercise authority and take responsibility for performance of others. Its focus is on recognition of the values and skills each individual participant brings versus an effort to develop skills afresh. Placement is also designed to be an individualized process with personal company selection.

Banks like SBI, Corporation Bank & Union Bank of India provide loan based on the offer letter given by SPJIMR. SBI is also running a Scholar Scheme, under which they are providing educational loan to SPJIMR students without any guarantor or collateral, and loan will be sanctioned on the name of the student only. SPJIMR does have a hostel and staying in the hostel is compulsory for all candidates. There is no provision for special housing for married candidates.

S.P. Jain does not conduct a separate entrance exam. Entrance to PGPM course is through CAT / XAT / GMAT.
